Connectorised Closures

Customised, connectorised closures

Connectorised Closures

HellermannTyton’s connectorised closures are designed to simplify fibre network deployment by enabling fast, reliable fibre connectivity using pre-configured fibre pigtails or field-terminated connectors. Each closure can be configured with optional splitter cassettes to support passive optical network architectures. With a high drop port capacity and compact design options, these closures are particularly well-suited for FTTH distribution points and last mile applications.

The closures feature a modular tray system, allowing for scalable fibre management. Covers are available in multiple lengths to accommodate varying tray counts and can be fitted with pressure valves where required. Environmental sealing is achieved through robust O-ring systems and quick-release clamps, while cable entry is managed via mechanical seals or heatshrink options, depending on the port type.  Customisation options include tray layout, connector positioning, and pre-installation of pigtails, adaptors, and splitters - offering a tailored solution to meet specific deployment needs.

Why go connectorised?

  • Faster Deployment: Pre-installed connectors, PLC splitters and pigtails reduce installation times significantly.  This is ideal for large scale projects or where deadlines are tight.
  • Reduced Skilled Labour Cost: The plug-and-play functionality of the closures reduces the need for specialised splicing expertise and reduces the risk of errors compared to in-field splicing.
  • Improved Network Reliability: Factory terminated connectors ensure consistent quality, reducing the risk of errors compared to in-field splicing.
  • Easier Maintenance and Upgrades: Connectorised systems allow for quick disconnection and reconnection of circuits whilst reducing the risk of disturbing other fibres and simplifies troubleshooting and future upgrades to the infrastructure.
