    Application The FWOA Extension Module is used in conjunction with the HellermannTyton Fibre Wall Outlet (FWO) and is a fibre broadband extension kit that has been designed to provide quick and easy installation for the fibre engineer while at the same time giving the property owner flexibility with positioning of the broadband router.

    Technical Description The FWO Extension module allows for a pre-terminated fibre spool to be fitted on to an existing FWO allowing the customer to determine the final connection point for the router within their premise.

    The extension module clips onto the existing FWO and features a built-in fibre spool containing 15 meters of 1.5mm G657.A2 fibre cable, pre-terminated at both ends with SC/APC connectors. One end connects directly to SC/APC simplex adaptor within the FWO, while the other end, allows for flexible routing up to 15 meters within the property to facilitate easy connection to a router.

    The outlet is supplied with a connector plate which houses one of the SC/APC connectors as well as being the winding key for the fibre spool. An entry/exit point cover provides additional shielding for the incoming/outgoing cables protecting them from damage or snagging as well as restricting the removal of connectors/adaptors once in place.

    Each outlet is supplied with a fibre management routing kit to ensure that the minimum bend radius of the fibre cable is not exceeded during installation. Each consists of external/internal corner bend managers and through the wall cable managers.

    The module is manufactured from Polycarbonate + ABS V0 rated material and the cover of the existing FWO fits in place over the extension module.
