Connectorised Customer Wall Box (CCWB)

Introduction

Connectorised Customer Wall Box (CCWB)

The Connectorised Customer Wall Box (CCWB) is ideal for residential fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) installations and offers flexible ONT placement within the property while ensuring neat and protected fibre management outside the building.

The CCWB is a compact, IP-rated Building Entry Point (BEP) that provides a secure fibre termination and demarcation location external to the premises in Fibre to the Home (FTTH) deployments. Designed to support a connectorised approach, the CCWB offers flexibility, speed, and ease of installation for service providers and installers.

Frequently asked questions

How does the CCWB simplify residential FTTP installations compared to standard splicing boxes?

Unlike traditional external demarcation enclosures that require on-site splicing, the CCWB features a pre-terminated 15m fibre spool designed to be de-spooled internally, reducing installation time and eliminating the need for specialist splicing equipment at the building entry point.

Can the CCWB be used with both blown fibre and traditional drop cables?

Yes, versatility is a core design feature of the CCWB. The enclosure base is uniquely engineered with integrated management structures that can securely house and route up to 30m of 1.2mm blown fibre tube, or up to 10m of standard 3mm ruggedised drop cable.

Does the CCWB support mechanical splicing, or is it strictly for pre-terminated patching?

While the CCWB excels in pre-terminated architectures due to its internal 15m spool design, it also fully accommodates splicing workflows. The internal tray features a dedicated splice bridge that securely holds up to two 3A or ANT splice protectors.
