Fibre Wall Outlet Extension Kit (FWO-EXT)

Introduction

FWO-EXT Module is ideal for FTTH installations where the router location is pre-existing or needs to be flexible, the FWO-EXT Module allows broadband engineers and property owners to extend fibre connectivity up to 15m from the original termination point—quickly, safely, and with minimal disruption.

The module is a plug-in fibre broadband extension solution designed for use with the HellermannTyton Fibre Wall Outlet (FWO). Developed to provide fast, clean installations and greater in-home routing flexibility, the FWO-EXT enables end users to position their broadband router precisely where needed—without the need for additional splicing or fibre termination.

Seamless FWO Integration
- Clips directly onto the existing HellermannTyton FWO, transforming it into a flexible fibre extension point without modifying the original outlet.
Pre-Terminated Fibre Spool
- Contains 15m of 1.5mm G657.A2 fibre cable, pre-terminated at both ends with either LC or SC connectors. One end connects to the adaptor in the FWO, while the other enables flexible internal routing to the router.
Smart Connector Plate Design
- Includes a dedicated connector plate that holds one connector and doubles as the winding/locking key for the spool. Ensures secure fibre management and user-friendly handling.
Enhanced Cable Protection
- An entry/exit cover shields incoming and outgoing fibre leads, preventing damage, snagging, or unauthorised removal of connectors or adaptors.
Complete Fibre Management Kit
- Supplied with bend radius control components, including internal/external corner guides and through-the-wall cable managers to ensure a safe and tidy installation.
Durable & Flame-Retardant Construction
- Made from Polycarbonate + ABS V0-rated material, providing robust, flame-resistant protection. The original FWO cover fits seamlessly over the FWO-EXT module post-installation.
