| Technical Description |
The Integrated Multi-Business Unit can be used in isolation or as a connectorised solution when used with the ENIR-MBU-CB Customer Access Box. The enclosure is manufactured from powder coated mild steel and has 30 knock-out cable gland positions which provide a high level of flexibility when managing cable routing and mid-span/loop through applications. The enclosure accommodates a maximum of 12 SE or 24 SC-B trays which are mounted on an IR fibre management module which can be detached from the compartment for ease of access and to facilitate fibre routing. The modular design of the trays and the fibre optic routing module allow for the trays to be easily clipped in to place. The system allows for easy routing of fibre on to the trays. The trays and the fibre optic routing module are white which makes it easy to see the colour of the fibre elements as they are routed through the positive fibre management system. Fibre slot retaining blocks guide fibre elements in to the IR system, the foam pad on the retainer is partially cut through to accommodate a range of fibre counts, and the plug is keyed so that it can only be inserted in one direction. The fibre can be connected to an adaptor or spliced to a fibre pigtail and connected to the Customer Access Box providing a connectorised solution, or alternatively the brush strip management kit can be used to route the fibre directly from the enclosure to the end user. The enclosure is fitted with a secure locking cover ad comes supplied with a blanking panel which can be removed when used with the Customer Access Box. |
